چکیده
Phaleria macrocarpa (Scheff.) Boerl., an evergreen tree is found in Indonesia, Malaysia and Oceania, explicitly Northern Territory of Australia Papua New Guinea. The fruits are traditionally used to treat various ailments including diabetes, psoriasis, looseness the bowels, skin inflammation, malignancy, kidney, liver heart sicknesses. However, date, no comprehensive study investigating its toxicity profile utilizing liquid CO 2 extract (LCE) has been reported ICR mice. Hence, this research was performed investigate both acute sub-acute toxicities carbon dioxide from ripe fruit flesh P. Acute assessed at a single dose 3000 mg/kg bw for weeks according up down method OECD 425 guideline, while test by doses 250, 500, 1000, 2000 28 days. animals’ general behaviour, food intake, body weight, organ coefficients, biochemical histological morphology were observed analysed. After exposure LCE, there evidence any severe or fatal effects An result exhibited that LD 50 LCE > bw. findings subacute evaluation revealed 250 500 had significant detrimental impact. Moreover, 1000 demonstrated heart, liver, kidney lung mice identified investigation. results confirmed dosage considered safe can provide better therapeutic effect without eliciting adverse side effects.

Acute and Subacute Toxicity of Safranal, a Constituent of Saffron, in Mice and Rats
The acute and sub-acute toxicity of safranal were studied in rat and mice within 2 and 21 days after exposure, respectively. For subacute toxicity, changes in weight as well as biochemical, hematological and pathological parameters were studied. The intraperitoneal LD50 values of safranal were 1.48 mL/kg in male mice, 1.88 mL/kg in female mice and 1.50 mL/kg in male rats. Oral LD50 values were ...

متن کاملBioassay-guided antidiabetic study of Phaleria macrocarpa fruit extract.
An earlier anti-hyperglycemic study with serial crude extracts of Phaleria macrocarpa (PM) fruit indicated methanol extract (ME) as the most effective. In the present investigation, the methanol extract was further fractionated to obtain chloroform (CF), ethyl acetate (EAF), n-butanol (NBF) and aqueous (AF) fractions, which were tested for antidiabetic activity. The NBF reduced blood glucose (p...

The wound-healing potential of Phaleria macrocarpa was evaluated by monitoring the levels of inflammatory mediators, collagen, and antioxidant enzymes. Experimentally, two-centimeter-wide full-thickness-deep skin excision wounds were created on the posterior neck area of the rats. The wounds were topically treated with gum acacia as a vehicle in the control group, intrasite gel in the reference...
